Business owners may want to apprise their workers of the employee benefit plan consulting services the company offers, as a considerable number of adults who have retirement concerns would like to work with a professional, a new survey suggests.

According to a recent poll conducted by financial services firm E*TRADE, more than one-third of adult workers polled said that they would be interested in working with a professional to handle their retirement accounts.

The reason so many workers would like to work with these financial professionals appears to be related to the confusion that retirement accounts cause. For example, the poll found that more than half thought that managing an IRA required more financial knowledge than they had, and 32 percent said they hadn't rolled over a 401(k) from an old employer because they either didn't know how or thought the process was confusing.

Business owners should consider making their employees aware of employee benefit consultants who can provide them with the information they need to know so they can prepare for their futures.
